First Major Patch!

I got so many comments giving great advice on how to fix my game and even make it better. With everyone's help, and with the recent changes, I feel like the game is better than ever! I very much appreciate all the feedback, it means a lot for a newer game dev!


Hitbox Changes

Thanks to your help, I realized that I wasn't really doing the hitbox on the player correctly for the view point I was using. Taking some recommendations, I changed it so the player's hitbox is on the player's legs. That way it feels more fair when you are hit and also makes the game just flow better. I also adjusted the hitboxes on some of the enemies and obstacles to make it feel more fair and less annoying.


Final Boss Rebalancing

I got a lot of valuable feedback about the difficult of the boss, mostly related to how much RNG there was. I was running low on time and didn't have enough playtesting 😅  But the boss has now been rebalanced. The tentacles that pop up are now more consistent and makes it feel less unfair. You can also shoot the tentacles that are in the way, making it easier to find a path. I also changed when the blocking wall goes down to make it less confusing when you are able to shoot the boss. Overall, I feel like the boss is actually fun now and not a chore to beat (hopefully...)


Enemy View Range

It also came to my attention that the enemies (specifically the man in the garden and the woman in the basement) didn't have very clear lines of sight. This made it very annoying when you got shot seemingly out of nowhere. But now, the view is shown by where their light is. This way you can better avoid them and feel justified if you do get shot!
